A statement from government sources confirmed that Mr. Gyamfi has been moved to the Ministry of Finance with immediate effect. No official reason was provided for the sudden change in leadership.

The reassignment comes at a time when the National Service Authority is grappling with delays in the posting of new service personnel for the 2025 service year.

The delay follows an ongoing audit of the service’s online portal, which is used to process postings and deployment of graduates across the country.

According to sources familiar with the situation, there are indications of a disagreement between the NSA and its supervising Ministry of Youth Development over whether to replace the current software for the portal or retain the existing system.

The development has created uncertainty for thousands of graduates awaiting their postings, though officials have assured that measures are being taken to resolve the technical and administrative issues as quickly as possible.

Mr. Gyamfi, who was appointed Acting Director-General earlier this year, is expected to take up his new role at the Ministry of Finance as part of broader administrative adjustments within the public service.

In the interim, his Deputy, Ruth Seddoh, has been appointed as the new Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority. Her appointment is expected to ensure continuity in operations while broader administrative adjustments are made.
