Ghana has been recognized as having the 8th best internet quality in Africa, according to the 2024 Surfshark Digital Quality of Life Index (DQL).
The country achieved an index score of 0.304, placing it among the top ten nations on the continent for digital quality of life.
The DQL Index assesses 121 countries based on five key pillars: internet affordability, internet quality, e-infrastructure, e-security, and e-government. Internet quality, a crucial factor in the ranking, is determined by speed, stability, and overall performance, impacting online communication, work, and entertainment.
Mauritius leads the continent with a DQL score of 0.361, while Morocco and Nigeria round out the top 10 in Africa.

The DQL Index also revealed a significant disparity in digital quality of life globally, with European countries dominating the top positions.
