A new political party, the People’s Redemption Movement (PRM), has been launched ahead of Ghana’s 2024 general elections.
The PRM aims to renew and restore hope to Ghanaians who have become disillusioned with the country’s governance systems and poor socio-economic infrastructure and services.
At a press conference in Accra, the interim General Secretary of PRM, Edward Adade, outlined the vision of the party.

He explained that the rising level of corruption, youth unemployment, insecurity, wanton dissipation of state resources, and poverty have deeply threatened the stability of the country’s growth and development.
The party’s symbol is a lion, which portrays strength to defend the country against abuse and destruction of state resources by anybody in high or low places.

Its motto is “Open Government for Real Development,” with black, red, and white as its colours.
Adade called on Ghanaians to reflect on the memories of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and other selfless leaders and patriots who truly promoted the development and betterment of Ghana.

The PRM aims to transform and promote real and sustainable economic growth in Ghana, rescuing its citizens from hardship.
