By the Administrative Arrangement on Public Transport Fares, Road Transport Operators have taken the initiative to reduce public transport fares by 10% to accommodate the recent reductions in the prices of petroleum products.
Starting from Wednesday, the 17th of May, 2023 the new fares will take effect.
The new fares will encompass four types of Road Transport Operations namely: Shared Taxis, Intra-city (Tro-tro), Intercity (Long Distance), And Haulage.
Transport Operators are kindly requesting all commercial transport operators to duly comply with the new fares and make them available at their loading terminals for commuters to cross-check.
Transport Operators also respectfully request the public and all other transport operators to kindly cooperate towards the successful implementation of these new fares.
They are assuring the General Public that they will continue to work in their interests and strive to deliver the best possible transport services for all commuters.
