The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the release of Personal Identification Numbers (PIN codes) for 18,011 eligible Nurses and Midwives to facilitate their enrollment into the 2025/2026 national service year.

This was indicated in a statement issued on April 17, 2025, signalling the commencement of the registration process for this cohort of prospective National Service Personnel.

According to the statement signed by the Acting Director-General, Felix Gyamfi, eligible individuals are required to access their PIN codes through the NSA’s official website, by inputting their Student IDs and dates of birth.

Additionally, a registration fee of GH¢40.00 is mandatory, payable at any Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) branch. For convenience, payments can also be made via MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) at a fee of GH¢41.00.

The enrollment period is set to begin on April 17, 2025, and close on April 23, 2025.  The NSA has urged all prospective service personnel to adhere to the timelines and complete their registration promptly to avoid any complications.

“Enrollment starts today, April 17, 2025, and ends on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. Management urges all prospective National Service Personnel to complete the online registration within the stipulated time”

As stated in the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), the participation in the national service is a legal obligation for all Ghanaian citizens aged eighteen and above who have completed any accredited tertiary institution, including universities and Nursing Training Colleges.

This requirement is aimed at promoting civic responsibility and contributing to the nation’s development.

Therefore, the NSA has reiterated its commitment to streamlining the registration process and ensuring equitable opportunity for all eligible personnel to fulfill this statutory obligation.
