NSA urges timely submission of monthly evaluation forms for prompt allowance payments

Share:

The Management of the National Service Authority (NSA) has issued a statement emphasising the importance of personnel submitting their Monthly Evaluation Forms within the designated period to ensure the timely processing of their allowances.

According to the management, personnel must strictly adhere to the submission window between the 15th and 20th of each month to facilitate seamless payment computations.

Timely submission ensures that personnel receive their allowances without unnecessary delays and helps the NSA maintain accurate records for payroll computations.

Consequences of Late Submission

According to the NSA, recent findings indicate that some personnel deliberately delay the submission of their evaluation forms with the intention of accumulating unpaid stipends.

Others submit forms at their convenience instead of following the designated timeline, causing severe disruptions in the NSA’s payment system.

Personnel should note that late submissions do not only inconvenience administrative officers but also distort payroll arrangements, leading to unnecessary delays in their monthly stipends.

This is because processing accumulated forms takes additional time and resources, making it difficult for the authority to compute payments efficiently.

As a result, the NSA has taken decisive action to prevent such practices, ensuring that stipend payments are made in a structured and timely manner.

To maintain an efficient payroll process, personnel are directed to submit only forms for a given month (i.e., pending for payment).

Forms compiled from previous months will not be processed. This measure is designed to prevent backlog issues that have historically slowed down payment computations.

Preventing Payroll Fraud

The NSA has reiterated that compliance with the monthly submission policy is critical in preventing payroll fraud.

According to the management, personnel submitting their evaluation forms on time will allow the authority to maintain a transparent payroll system free from irregularities.

Fraudulent practices, including delayed submissions intended to manipulate payroll calculations, undermine the integrity of the National Service Scheme.

Personnel are strongly advised to comply fully with this directive to avoid any inconvenience regarding their allowance payments.

The NSA has assured that prompt payments will continue as long as personnel comply with the standard operating procedures outlined.
