SLTF announces deadline for “No Fees Stress” application

The Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has issued a statement urging all eligible tertiary students( Level 100s) to submit their applications for the 2024/2025 Academic Fees Reimbursement under the government-backed “No Fees Stress” Policy before the final deadline of Thursday, July 31, 2025.

The directive, shared through an official release signed by Obeng Agyenim Boateng, Head of Corporate Communications at SLTF, aims to ensure that no eligible students are left behind in the timely rollout of the policy for the academic year.

Why the Deadline Matters

This deadline marks the close of applications for the current academic cycle and signals a strategic administrative shift toward the implementation of full academic fee coverage for the 2025/2026 cycle.

Students who miss the July 31 cutoff risk forfeiting their opportunity to receive this financial relief, which is intended to ease the cost of tertiary education.

According to SLTF, meeting this timeline is essential for:

Who Is Eligible?

Applicants must be Ghanaian tertiary students who have paid academic fees in the 2024/2025 year and meet the eligibility criteria outlined by SLTF.

This includes:

• Enrollment in an accredited public or private tertiary institution
• Valid student ID and institutional registration
• No outstanding disbursement or repayment issues with SLTF

How to Apply

The SLTF has simplified the application process through a dedicated portal to accommodate large volumes of submissions.

• Visit the SLTF Portal: Navigate to https://nofeesstress.sitf.gov.gh  using a secure browser.

• Create or Log in to Your Account: First-time users must register using their Ghana Card, student ID, and email. Returning applicants can simply log in.

• Fill Out the Application Form: Provide details such as institution name, programme of study, academic year, and proof of fee payment.

• Upload Supporting Documents: Required attachments include scanned receipts, admission letters, and a passport-sized photo.

• Review and Submit: Double-check entries for accuracy. Submit the form and await confirmation via email or SMS.
