The Chief Executive Officer of the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF), Dr. Saajida Shiraz, has confirmed that disbursement of outstanding Teacher Trainee Allowances has commenced for students in Public Colleges of Education, with 30,157 beneficiaries having already received their payments.
In a brief statement, she reaffirmed the Fund’s commitment to fulfilling President John Dramani Mahama’s vision for a strengthened and responsive tertiary education system.
Addressing concerns about the remaining one-month allowance yet to be paid, the CEO clarified,
“The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission is currently processing the remaining one month to send to us. We will pay that too as soon as we receive it.”
She further assured that efforts are ongoing to process data from students(Colleges) who have not yet received any payments, emphasising that the disbursements will continue in batches as verification is completed.
The SLTF reiterated its dedication to ensuring all eligible trainees receive their due allowances promptly.

Please why is left with just one month allowance to be paid whiles the nursing trainees received six months allowance, so are they going to get additional allowance again, because we are still on campus. Please explain to me
