Established to facilitate access to financing for tertiary education, the SLTF has historically played a pivotal role in supporting teacher trainees.
Historically, teacher trainee allowances were introduced as a measure to alleviate the financial constraints faced by trainees in colleges of education.
Over the years, these allowances have undergone several revisions and policy adjustments, reflecting broader shifts in educational funding priorities.
The SLTF, in particular, has remained an instrumental institution in ensuring the seamless distribution of these allowances to deserving beneficiaries.
As part of its operational strategy, Dr. Shiraz revealed that the SLTF is implementing robust mechanisms to ensure the consistency, reliability, and seamless payment of future disbursements.
These measures aim to align with established policy directives while reinforcing the trust fund’s dedication to serving the educational needs of trainees.
