The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced a final extension for its “No Fees Stress” Policy application.
Eligible tertiary students now have until Thursday, August 7, 2025, to submit their requests for their academic fees reimbursement for the 2024/2025 academic year.
In a press release dated July 31, 2025, the SLTF emphasised that the new deadline — Thursday, August 7, 2025 — will be the last and will not be extended further.
The SLTF reiterated its dedication to equal access to tertiary education financing, urging eligible students to act swiftly and avoid last-minute submission hurdles
‘No Fees Stress’ Policy
The “No Fees Stress” Policy is a flagship initiative by the Government aimed at removing financial barriers for first-year students in public tertiary institutions.
Launched officially on July 4, 2025, the policy ensures that eligible students do not pay academic user fees upfront, easing the burden on families and promoting equitable access to higher education.
Who Is Eligible?
Applicants must:
- Be enrolled in an accredited tertiary institution in Ghana
- Possess a valid Ghana Card (National Identification)
- Demonstrate need for fee support (e.g. no other financial aid)
- Be in good academic standing, verified by their institution
Application Process
To apply, students should:
- Visit the official portal: https://nofeesstress.sltf.gov.gh/
- Create an account or log in
- Fill out the application form with personal, academic, and financial details
- Upload required documents:
- Admission letter, Current school ID, Ghana Card
- Endorsed fee invoice from the institution
- Submit before midnight on August 7, 2025
