We have received a high volume of inquiries from graduate teachers across the country — particularly those who missed the July edition of the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) — asking about their fate, when they can register, and what the next steps are.

Well, the National Teaching Council (NTC) has now clarified the situation. According to NTC, all graduate teachers who missed the 2025 July GTLE window will have to wait and join the last phase of the post-graduation GTLE, which will be held in October 2025 after the July results are officially released.
This means a separate registration window will be opened specifically for these candidates once the July results are out.

ToggleCurrent Registration is for Level 400 Teacher Trainees
NTC further explained that the registration currently ongoing is strictly for Level 400 students from the various colleges of education.
These trainees will sit for their GTLE from October 13 to October 15, 2025 under the new post-graduation licensure format.
Graduate teachers who missed the GTLE I (July) will begin their registration after the Level 400 trainees have completed their registrations.
They are urged to note that they will join the final phase of the post-graduation GTLE ( for resitters/ freshers) and will use the old examination format.
