The 2025 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) 1 registration is ongoing, but there are specific eligibility criteria that candidates must meet to participate.
According to the NTC, only candidates who hold a Bachelor of Education Degree or a Postgraduate Diploma in Education are eligible to register for the 2025 GTLE 1.
In addition, the NTC has specified that candidates with foreign degrees and want to participate must provide a certificate evaluation report from the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) to prove their eligibility.
This evaluation report is to help verify the equivalence of their foreign qualifications to the local educational standards.
It is important to note that the ongoing registration for the 2025 GTLE 1 is exclusively open to individuals with a Bachelor of Education Degree or a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
Candidates who possess these qualifications but have previously received a referral in the traditional GTLE (Essential Professional Skills, Literacy and Numeracy) and wish to write the 2025 GTLE 1 must start the registration process anew.
Additionally, diplomates who have referrals in the traditional GTLE and intend to participate in the GTLE in 2025 and beyond must first obtain a degree.
Qualified individuals who meet the necessary educational criteria are encouraged to register for the 2025 GTLE 1 examination by visiting https://exams.ntc.gov.gh/.
The date for the 2025 GTLE 1 has been scheduled from 22nd to 24th April 2025. Prospective candidates should make note of this timeline and begin their preparations accordingly.
