In response to growing anticipation among trained teachers and prospective educators nationwide, the National Teaching Council (NTC) has confirmed that the results of the 2025 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) I will be released “in due course.”

The confirmation follows increasing inquiries from candidates who sat for the GTLE I, including those who participated in the re-sit examinations.
Many of these candidates have expressed anxiety as they await the outcome of this crucial step in their professional teaching journey.
When the NTC was approached regarding the exact date of release, as the previous dates slated had failed, an official response stated simply: “The council will release the 2025 GTLE I results in due course, thank you.”
This brief but important update, while not providing a definitive date, indicates that preparations toward releasing the results are underway and that candidates should remain patient.
The Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination is a mandatory assessment for all graduates from accredited teacher education institutions in Ghana.
It serves as a standard evaluation to ensure that only qualified, competent, and professionally prepared individuals enter the classroom as certified teachers.
The examination covers essential teaching competencies, pedagogy, and literacy, ensuring alignment with Ghana’s national education standards.
This year’s GTLE I attracted not only new graduates but also candidates who had missed previous sittings or needed to re-sit certain components to meet the passing requirements.
For these individuals, the release of the results marks a critical moment — as success in the GTLE paves the way for full certification and, in most cases, subsequent employment by the Ghana Education Service (GES).
Steps to Check the 2025 GTLE I Results

What’s Next for Successful Candidates
Candidates who pass all three papers of the GTLE I will be issued a professional provisional license (certification), enabling them to practice as licensed teachers in Ghana.
Those who do not pass all the required papers will have opportunities to re-sit during subsequent GTLE sessions as outlined by the NTC.
The NTC has urged all candidates and stakeholders to rely on official communication channels for updates and to disregard unverified reports or rumors circulating on social media regarding the release date or results.
