STOP, YOU CAN’T!!.. Lesson 9

Share:

Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.Psa 127:1

Yesterday we learnt that in the days of old, God blessed people based on conditions but in the new testament God’s blessings are unconditional. From that, we got to know there is no package of blessings for those who are still obeying the laws which are outmoded under the new testament. But under the new covenant all blessings are in Jesus Christ so receive Him and be a partaker of them.

I listened to a sermon yesterday. And in the course of the sermon, the preacher said,”God is in heaven recording your sins”. I was shocked to hear that. I thought, “Is God looking for our downfall that he only records our bad deeds (sins) and ignore the good ones? Does God have no work to do than to be recording our short comings?” These and many more questions came to my mind.

So I began to communicate with Holy Spirit (my teacher) concerning this. What follows are some of what he taught me about this.

The statement that God is recording our sins in heaven is wrong. It is said by preachers who don’t understand the scriptures. It is said by law preachers; people who think they are still under the law (in bondage). These people don’t understand what Jesus said in John 10:30, that’s why they come up with those words to put fear in their members to worship God.

Now lets delve into the bible.

I and my father are one. (John 10:30 NIV)

This statement made by Jesus was very powerful. It tells us the relationship between the Father and the Son. It shows us how they operate. This means, what the father does, the son also does the same and vise-versa. Praise the lord! The purpose of Christ is for all to go to heaven (get saved). If the Father and son are one, as said by Jesus himself, then it means that is the same purpose of God because the Son and the Father are one.

No wonder Jesus voiced it out again in these words:

Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. (John 5:19 KJV )

Did you see that? The father and the son are the same(one) when it comes to their operations. This is not confusing. Glory be To God for Jesus is lord.

Let me tell you the gospel truth. GOD IS NOT IN HEAVEN TAKING RECORDS OF YOUR SINS WHILES JESUS IS CLEANSING THEM. No! The father and the son are one. And the secret is, there is no sin for even God to be taking account of because all your sins were WASHED AWAY BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS 2000YRS AGO. So where is God going to see your sins from to take an account of them? You are in Jesus and God doesn’t see you anymore , He sees Jesus Christ always.

Hey! Please lets study our scriptures so that we will know the truth and the truth will make us free from those false preachers who are JUST AFTER MONEY AND NOT THE GOSPEL.

Listen to what David said;

If you lord, KEEP A RECORDS OF SINS, o lord WHO COULD STAND? (Psalm 130:3 NIV)

Did you see that? This verse alone even disproves what the preacher said! David said no man can stand before God if He should take records of sin. Which makes it clear that God is not in heaven busily recording your transgressions. This wrong mindset has made many people live in sin consciousness, making schedules and schemes to avoid sin for God to have nothing to record. This is very funny. I thank God that through this devotion, you have been enlightened on the truth that sin has no dominion over a child of God.

Today’s devotional is purposely to erase that wrong religious mindset which makes people have wrong and negative notions concerning God as though He is evil. Our God is a God of love. Never compare evil with God .

Always remember this: STOP! YOU CAN’T, because it is already FINISHED through Christ Jesus .
